These 2 male Labradoodles are brothers, from the same litter, "Scooby and Shaggy"
The Labradoodle has gained popularity quickly. Originally developed to be hypoallergenic guide dogs, the first crosses of Poodle and Labradore Retrievers were arranged by the Royal Guide Dogs Association of Australia. The result was a smart and sociable dog who not only had the temperament for a guide dog but also a low shedding coat. Now a popular and affectionate breed for families.
The Northern Beaches owner of these 20 week old dogs travelled a long way to a Nothern NSW town to find a suitable breeder.
This is the first time as a Pet Photographer I have photographed this breed, and although only young they are already a reasonable size with endless energy.
I suggested the owner take his pups for a long walk, to use up some of their excess energy before we started with the photos, which he did. We then had about 40 minutes of shooting at a local Pittwater Park, moving to a couple of different spots. The dogs and owner were great, and we took many shots which the owner was very pleased with. It really turned out to be an easy and fun shoot, with happy dogs.
