"Charlie" A young Cavoodle puppy 9 weeks old.

The Cavoodle is a cross between the Toy or Miniature Poodle, and the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Given their heritage it’s not hard to see that the Cavoodle has been purpose bred to get along well with all types of families; from the elderly to those with small children. With their shiny fluffy coat, round face, soft floppy ears, and soulfully large eyes children and adults alike are totally taken with the Cavoodle's overabundance of cuteness.

There is some variation among the breed. Some puppies will lean towards a more Poodle like appearance while others will favor the Cavalier in features – with the many variations amongst the breed dependent on the genetic makeup of the parents. Colours are wide ranging so there is plenty of choice including solid black to solid white, chestnut and white (Blenheim), black, white and tan (tri-color), or gold all over.

Charlie became a member of his new family just recently, he has settled in, and has attended some basic puppy classes. A walk around his local neighbourhood can be a slow process, as all who see him stop to say hello...he is so cute!

The main reason this Sydney Northern Beaches family chose the Cavoodle breed was based on an allergy problem that their 10 year old had suffered with other breeds they had tried.

Charlie has been great to photograph and for the family, no sign of allergies.

The bond between this families 10 year old and the young puppy is already starting to form and I am sure it will continue to grow.
